Innovation and intellectual property (IP) are critical assets that drive robust economic growth and improve social well-being in the United States. The issues positively and negatively impacting IP are global, national and local. To address these challenges a new organization is needed to improve awareness around the creation, protection, and enablement of intellectual property in California.

The mission of the California IP Alliance (CAIPA) is to foster an effective IP ecosystem and marketplace to advance awareness, education, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion in the creation, protection, and enablement of intellectual property. It will also serve as a connecting hub for local and regional IP organizations, encouraging innovation for the economic and social well-being of Californians. The CAIPA  is proud to be a regional chapter of the United States Intellectual Property Alliance (USIPA), a nonprofit organization with national scope.
